The Animal Cardiology Center, New York City’s premier veterinary cardiology only practice, seeks to add a Licensed Technician to our staff as we continue to grow. Experienced Techs, junior Techs, and licence eligible Techs are encouraged to apply.

As a specialty practice with multiple boarded veterinary cardiologists providing the highest standard of care to the dogs and cats of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and surrounding areas, we are continuing to expand as we broaden our reach to the communities we serve.

Requirements:

– Licensure or license eligible in NY State
– Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred
– Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong people and organizational skills
– Ability to resolve conflict
– Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited college or university

Essential job functions:

– Provide specialized care
– Record keeping
– Can review clinical records, obtain medical histories from clients, and relay pertinent medical histories to doctor
– Ensure regulatory compliance
– Embody TACC’s gold-standard of client experience
– Plan patient flow
– Collaborate with Medical Director and practice manager
– In the absence of the practice manager provide support to the team and elevate concerns as needed
– Perform other duties as assigned

Physical requirements of the job:

– Comfortable working with all types of animals
– Ability to lift 40lbs
– Capable of moving patients from carrier/floor to exam table
– Able to stand for extended periods of time
