Overview
The Tiffany Dlesk Spay and Neuter Clinic in Moundsville, West Virginia, will be reopening in early 2023. We are very excited to resume serving the Moundsville and surrounding areas and are searching for both experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants as well as new graduates. We are seeking individuals to assist with surgery and anesthesia, wellness appointments, checking animals in and out during the day and answering phones during extremely busy times.
Requirements:
- Current Veterinary Technician License if applying as an RVT.
- Surgical experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 40+ pounds.
- Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Helping prep animals for surgery including drawing and administering both intramuscular as well as intravenous medications and placing endotracheal tubes
Keeping accurate records for controlled substances used during surgery
Monitoring animals during surgery and recording vitals
Monitoring animals during recovery
Performing select wellness services
Checking in animals for spay and neuter surgeries to include weighing and verifying gender
Assist veterinarian with examinations prior to surgery
