Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant at Northeast Title & Tag, you will be responsible for:

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Participating in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Reconciling general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.
Conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Collaborating with the Accounting Manager and CFO to address financial inquiries and assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
2 or more years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a small business environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
