Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (Overnight Shift)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for the overnight shift. This role is crucial in supporting surgical teams by ensuring the sterile preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and trays are adequately sterilized and prepared for upcoming procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile processing protocols to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
- Collaborate with surgical staff and other team members to support a high-standard surgical environment.
- Manage tasks related to the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
- Identify and resolve any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required; further technical training or education in sterile processing preferred.
- Provisional CRCST required, full certification to be obtained within 120 days of employment.
- Previous experience in a sterile processing department preferred.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and participate in an on-call rotation is required.
- Must be willing to undergo a 120-day day shift training before transitioning to the overnight schedule.
- COVID vaccination status in compliance with healthcare facility requirements.
Compensation:
- Starting pay at $19.80 per hour with potential to increase to $21 hourly after a 120-day performance evaluation and upon obtaining CRCST certification.
