This position will have a broad range of responsibilities. As the face of our veterinary clinic, receptionists are responsible for greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly manner as as the arrive. The keep patient record organized and help the clinic schedule flow smoothly. They’re the glue to our operations, helping everyone stay on track. The provides prompt courteous services to customers and their pets via phone, email and in person.

This position is located in Savannah GA. Starting pay begins at $14 p/hr. If you do not have 1yr or better experience the pay is $14p/hr. The days are Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri. For full-time the hours are 7am-6pm for partd-time 7am-2pm. These hours are not negotiable.

Receptionist

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, filling some prescriptions, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, and front office and reception area maintenance.

Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties. Receptionists must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, follow through and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Multitasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential. Punctuality is expected

On occasion you will be asked to help assist a technician or doctor with handling an animal. You may be asked to assist medical team members with appointments, lab work and other procedures. Handle and restrain pets for exams. You must be comfortable handling and working with animals.

Prepare for the day by setting up the operating rooms with supplies and appropriate materials. Help to restock supplies throughout the day to ensure proficiencies and efficiencies. Learning and maintaining strong knowledge and understanding of common veterinary tasks and procedures. Responsible for managing workflow of new patient consultations and post-procedural rechecks. Perform accurate and professional discharging procedures for patients. Ability to address any phone calls and emails regarding client questions, concerns, and patient updates. Working with team to complete all end of shift cleaning including kennels, mopping and other daily department responsibilities.

Perform other duties as assigned by your team leader. Prior experience in a veterinary setting preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Customer Service, must have a solid work history that can verified. Multi-tasker, multi phone lines, ability to remain calm during stressful and busy periods in the day. Confident around dogs and cats.
