Job Summary: This position provides a unique opportunity to join an already established and successful MOVES market, while combining customer service oriented responsibilities with the clinical aspect of specialty medicine. Given the nature of our model, extensive technical experience is not required. Rather, the successful candidate will have a strong foundation of general veterinary knowledge and skills, and is looking for an opportunity to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and develop expertise around ultrasound and minimally invasive procedures.

Understanding the importance of building relationships for the longevity and sustainability of our business model is key. Not only will you be communicating on behalf of your specialist to partner clinics and pet parents, but you will be routinely interacting with other members of our HQ team. Ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication will be a critical responsibility of this position. With the support of HQ and your Referral Partner Coordinator, the successful candidate will lead schedule management and coordinate patient care, requiring the ability to think critically, be solution oriented, prioritize and demonstrate superior time management and organization skills. Inventory oversight will also be a key component of ensuring your team has the tools and resources necessary to provide services.

Restraint for ultrasounds and supporting minimally invasive procedures will be the main clinical responsibilities of this position. While experience with both is preferred, it is not required. We have the proper tools and resources (one-on-one training, videos tutorials, equipment manuals, and quick reference guides) in place to facilitate your onboarding and training in both areas, including direct support from our Technician Team Manager. The successful candidate will be proficient in or have a desire to learn the care / maintenance of advanced equipment, handling of tissue samples, supporting endoscopy procedures (including the retrieval of foreign bodies and/or assisting with obtaining biopsy samples). While advanced technical skills (i.e. venipuncture, IV Catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring) are preferred, they are also not required for this position. Opportunities to learn these additional skills will be supported (to some extent), ensuring a smooth patient and safe procedural experience.

Exercising good judgement will allow the successful applicant to thrive in this position with significant autonomy and independence, as there will be little direct oversight. Regular check-ins with your manager and department meetings are provided, and performance expectations (including the clarity of responsibilities) will be provided and reviewed in quarterly check-ins. MOVES completes performance reviews annually, and utilizes a structured process to evaluate and provide raises to include cost of living adjustment and performance based merit increases (up to 8% annually).
