Overview
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Minimum of two years experience as veterinary technician. LVT or currently enrolled in an LVT program preferred.
Ability to perform blood draws, place IV catheters, cystocentesis are a must.
Experience in exam rooms, surgery, dentals, dental radiographs, radiographs and associated technical skills are a must.
Must have a strong knowledge of patient medications, administration, contraindication and side effects. As well as the ability to calculate drugs, solutions and dilutions.
