Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Guest Services Associates (GSA) are responsible for the day-to -day care of pet resort guests

and for the cleanliness and sanitation of the Pet Resort interior and exterior. This includes

feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, and monitoring the well-being of dogs and cats.

The GSA will also occasionally assist doctors and technicians with pet restraint for procedures or anesthesia induction.
Qualifications

We’re looking for:

A love for animals and the ability to warmly welcome and compassionately care for pets is essential.
Guest Services Associates need excellent communication and client service skills in order to admit and discharge pets and reassure nervous “parents” that their pets are well-cared for at our facility.
The GSA must remain professional and courteous to clients and co-workers while handling multiple tasks at once with many interruptions.
GSAs must be able to empathize with clients and remain compassionate and well-mannered under all circumstances.
Guest Services Associates should have a firm belief in the quality of care we provide and communicate this sense of assurance to our clients.
The GSA must learn and understand our services and health recommendations and be able to clearly communicate these to our clients.
Guest Services Associates must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, the dexterity and confidence to handle and administer medications or bathe pets who may be scared or aggressive, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease.
Ensuring the comfort of our animal patients and instilling confidence in our human clients is the foundation of our mission here at Frontier. We proudly accomplish this through exceptional customer service, compassionate animal skills, as well as through the routine sanitation of the entire facility- from the inside-out.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
+ Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
+ Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
+ Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
+ The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
+ Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
