Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Veterinary Technician to support our medical team, oversee daily technician workflows, and ensure exceptional patient care and client service. This role is ideal for a strong clinical technician who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining high medical standards, and partnering closely with veterinarians and hospital leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Care

Provide high-quality nursing care, including patient assessments, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and treatment administration
Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgery, and medical procedures
Ensure accurate medical records and compliance with hospital protocols
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized treatment and surgical environment
Leadership & Team Support

Serve as a clinical leader and resource for veterinary technicians and assistants
Train, mentor, and support onboarding of new team members
Help coordinate daily technician scheduling, case flow, and task delegation
Promote a positive, collaborative, and respectful team culture
Support performance coaching and provide feedback in partnership with hospital leadership
Operations & Quality Standards

Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering medical supplies
Ensure adherence to hospital safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines
Support workflow efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Help implement new protocols, equipment, or medical standards
Client Communication

Provide clear and compassionate communication regarding treatments, estimates, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Support client education to enhance compliance and patient outcomes
Qualifications

We’re looking for:

Required

Previous experience as a Lead Veterinary Technician or in a senior/mentoring technician role
Strong clinical skills in anesthesia, surgery assistance, diagnostics, and patient care
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to high medical standards and compassionate care
Preferred

Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required
Experience with inventory management, scheduling coordination, or workflow leadership
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and standard veterinary software

We offer our staff:

Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $45,000 to $50,000
