Medical Assistant/EMT Position

Charleston ENT & Allergy is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant or EMT to join our practice! This critical role will provide efficient and competent support for our providers. Our Medical Assistants/EMTs are one of the most important aspects of our company! They are imperative to the daily flow of clinic by ensuring our patients get the care they need. We are looking for someone that shares the same goal as we do; that all patients receive the absolute best and highest quality of care. Pay

We offer competitive pay. Take advantage of our transparent pay scale that includes reviews for your first two months, six months, and one year of tenure. Then enjoy performance reviews every SIX months for your first three years!

Duties

  • Patient check in/out
  • Clinic opening and closing
  • Triaging patients and assisting providers with patients and procedures
  • Scheduling testing
  • Calling in prescriptions
  • Performing allergy shots and taking vitals
  • Administering tympanometry exams for ear pressure
  • Managing hospital consultation requests for physicians
  • Scanning patient records or other information as necessary
  • Contacting insurance companies to pre-certify tests and procedures for physicians
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients
  • Other duties assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Medical assisting, knowledge of vital signs, patient triaging, and venipuncture, good verbal and written communication skills.

Required Education Level : High School Diploma or Equivalent
