Duties: – Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals – Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures – Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians – Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas – Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments – Collect and record patient information, including medical history and vital signs – Perform laboratory tests, such as bloodwork and urinalysis – Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
