Are you an adventurer awaiting an opportunity to navigate the wild world of Alaskan Sled Dogs? If so, we invite you to experience a summer adventure of a lifetime. Alaska Icefield Expeditions is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our 23rd season of glacier dog sledding!

We are focused on a high level of medical care for our sled dogs at our glacial dogsled camps. You’ll have what it takes for this position if you excel at diagnosing illnesses, dog behavior, communication, and organizational skills, combined with compassion, attentiveness, and resiliency. You’ll also make a great fit for this opportunity if you are a third year Vet Tech from an accredited program.

This job position includes provided housing and meals while in camp. We also include an end of season bonus for those who complete the entirety of the season beginning in the third week of April through the end of September.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Room provided as well as meals while in camp.
End of Season Bonus
CPR and First Aid required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Pass random drug testing (including Marijuana)
Vet Tech from accredited program

About Alaska Icefield Expeditions, Inc.

Our helicopter-based icefield and glacier dog sledding tour whisks guests from the dock to the glacier. Enjoy glacier flightseeing prior to landing at our dogsledding camp on the glacier. Once here you will meet our sled dog teams of Alaskan Huskies and their professional mushers and dog handlers. After learning about the dogs, guests enjoy a ride on a dogsled! In the middle of summer!
