Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling hydraulic systems and components, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving any hydraulic assembly issues that arise, collaborating with other departments to ensure that all products meet the required standards, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the assembly process. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic assembly, and a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Essential Functions:
- Assemble rotary hydraulic actuators; precision alignment of parts is critical
- Assemble complex hydraulic motion simulators, including installation of rotary hydraulic actuators, manifolds, encoders, servo valves, accumulators, instrumentation, etc.
- Install all required simulator piping (requires pipe cutting, bending, and fitting installation)
- Setup hydraulic power units and connect to hydraulic motion simulators
- Perform precision alignments and metrology verifications of mechanical assemblies utilizing modern optronics such as alignment telescopes, theodolites, autocollimators, and laser trackers
- Fit and size parts using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, and grinders
- Assist in the packing and shipping of equipment to customers
- Install hydraulic motion simulators and ancillary equipment, both domestically and internationally
- Perform field service functions on hydraulic equipment, both domestically and internationally
- Maintain orderly work area, machines, and equipment
- Meet budget and schedule requirements
- Provide feedback to Engineering Department to reduce production problems
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical School or Machining Apprenticeship is desirable
- At least three years of mechanical experience is required, five years of experience preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Required to attend Fork Truck training and obtain certification
- Must be a US Person
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Work is generally performed in a shop environment
- Position requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and standing in order to perform job duties. Frequent lifting and moving of heavy parts weighing up to several tons
- Travel requirement for this position: 10-15%

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and wiring
- Experience with pipe fittings (e.g, Swagelok, Parker, etc.)
- Able to follow complex assembly procedures and acceptance test procedures
- Ability to make precise measurements using metrology equipment
- Ability to perform algebraic and trigonometric calculations
- Ability to apply safety procedures/methodology to all aspects of assembly work
