Overview
We are looking for a newly graduated OR experienced Veterinary Technician! If you are still currently working towards your Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology, we are open to discussion of you joining the team while you finish remote/online schooling. Our mixed animal practice cares for cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, horses, and other various livestock species. The responsibility of the veterinary technician is to assist our DVM’s in day-to-day care of the animals we see here at Alpine, as well as client communication.
The important qualities we look for in a candidate for this position is adaptability, strong team work skills, and passion to continue learning more in our field. We are preferential to a full time candidate, but part time is negotiable for the right person and fit.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Understanding and familiarity with the species we handle (listed in job description)
-Communication skills to both your team and clients
-Multitasking skills
-Animal restraint skills
-Phlebotomy skills
-Understanding of the diagnostics ran in your typical veterinary clinic (CHEM, CBC, Urinalysis, etc.)
-Associates in Veterinary Technology, or current enrollment in a Veterinary Technology program.
