Overview
The 22+ Mobile Teacher effectively utilizes their prior education and training, sound classroom management, technology, and the 22+ program curriculum to educate and graduate students successfully. The Mobile 22+ Teacher serves students within the school network, teacher will be given an assigned region
Duties and responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate assigned curriculum following the program’s course of study utilizing varying teaching modalities, routinely and frequently incorporating real-world work scenarios
- Develop lesson plans using a variety of techniques such as real-life work scenarios, examples, and problems; visual aids; creative projects; and technology to engage students in their learning
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including required professional building teams
- Keep accurate records using school approved tools and processes for each student such as grade books and progress reports, lesson plans, attendance records, and behavior/discipline records
- Perform advising responsibilities to assigned student caseload(s)
- Maintain a positive school environment through effective conflict resolution, collaboration, positive reinforcement, and educational leadership modeling
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, and discipline in an orderly fashion conducive to good learning
- Motivate students to achieve their full attendance, academic, and behavioral goals, as well as other goals identified
- Establish and maintain a positive rapport with students, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders
- Maintain effective communication on an ongoing basis with students, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders
- Participate in school and extra-curricular activities as directed by the 22+ Program Director and/or school Administrator
- Perform student home visits as needed which may include class in correctional facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Valid state teaching license
- Previous experience working with young adults and mature learners a plus
- Satisfactory completion of federal and state required criminal history check
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Google suite, e-mail, and internet applications preferred
- Valid Driver License and ability to travel to school locations in assigned region

Working conditions

- Ability to travel as needed
Physical requirements
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Standing for extended periods of time, sitting occasionally
- Ability to move around the building
- Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer and other technology-related components
