Yard Hand
Job Summary: We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Yard Hand to join our team. The Yard Hand is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard and shop, loading and unloading materials, cleaning and power washing equipment, and fulfilling general maintenance and various tasks as required, all while adhering to safety policies. Physical skills are important, as yard hands perform labor-intensive tasks and need to be able to work outdoors at times in various climates.
Responsibilities:
To include, but not limited to, the following:
Keep the yard and shop clean and organized
Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
Assist with inventory management
Assist with general maintenance tasks and mechanical repairs
Safely operate manual or motorized equipment to transport goods within the yard or facility
Assist with ensuring all tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order prior to being delivered to the field
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
Ability to operate yard equipment and power tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
The capability to undertake physical tasks safely
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a team member
Skilled at problem-solving
Ability to follow instructions accurately and relay information.
Clean driver’s license with ability to read a map/GPS system to navigate
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Possibility of overtime.
