Wilson College is currently accepting applicants for the lab and animal care coordinator position in the Veterinary Nursing program.

ABOUT THE POSITION: This full time position requires a credentialed veterinary technician in the state of PA, or an individual able to obtain their PA license. Core duties involve the management of the health and daily care of animals housed on campus, management of student workers, and enforcement of guidelines from regulatory agencies including the USDA and AVMA. Additional duties include coordination of inventory and obtaining supplies, implementing enrichment programs for various species, and some teaching responsibilities within laboratory settings. Ideal candidates have a passion for the health and wellbeing of all animals-both large and small, are advocates for higher education, and enjoy mentoring veterinary nursing students. Must be organized and work efficiently in an independent environment. Availability to attend to animal concerns or emergencies after hours is also required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Credentialed veterinary technician, licensed or ability to be licensed in PA
Experience with both small and large animals a plus
