Overview

Western Veterinary Group voted “South Bay’s Best”, is a privately- owned companion animal veterinary practice looking for an experienced and skilled R.V.T. to join our well- established AAHA-accredited hospital located in Torrance, CA. We are looking for a capable individual who is honest and hardworking — the sort of person who has veracity and passion you can’t teach in a classroom.

The ideal candidate will have an R.V.T. licensure in the state of California and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Self-leadership and comprehensive communication skills with owners, staff, and administrators, as well as a strong sense of self-awareness are further benefits for consideration. Our R.V.T.’s are responsible for administering patient care, treatments, IV catheter placements, radiology, dentistry (scaling & polishing), assisting with surgery preparation, anesthetic monitoring, and phlebotomy.

We understand that time with your friends or family is important, so we strive to provide a positive work-life balance. Your typical schedule will be 10-hour shifts during the week, consisting of on-the-floor work and dedicated time reserved for lunch breaks and rest breaks. We do rotate both Saturday shifts and Sunday (closed but R.V.T’s will provide treatments only), but no extended nights! We offer excellent market competitive compensation and benefits dependent upon experience and capability. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, age, disability, sexual preference, or any other characteristic protected by law.
