We’re looking to add experienced veterinary assistant/technicians’ to our urgent care family as we continue to grow. Veterinary Technician at VetCheck Pet Urgent Care Center responsibilities:
Assist the doctor with physical examinations; obtain a detailed history on each patient.
Assist the doctors with medical, surgical and dental procedures (most require sedation)/Blood draws/IV catheters
Perform emergency procedures such as stabilizing critical patients and triaging the patients
Perform clinic labs procedures in house, such as: fecal flotation, heartworm tests, skin scraping, uranalysis, fungal cultures and bloodwork.
Understands usage and dosage for all prescription drugs and can readily explain them to clients.
Maintain a positive, cooperative relationship with staff members. We truly are a family here at VetCheck!

Points Consider before you apply
VetCheck plays a crucial role in the Community by helping pets and pet parents with non-critical after hour emergencies. Our hours of operation are Mon-Fri 4-11, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm. You are required to work alternative weekend shifts.
You get to experience fast-paced Non-critical Emergency Care without working overnights
Our staff is highly engaged, collaborative and maintains positive attitude. We all work like a family, pitch in together to find solutions for any problems and all the staff we have are with us for long time. We maintain a support staff ratio of 4-5 techs per DVM.
It’s not our job to take care of pets, it is our responsibility.
