Come join the team voted 2023 Best Veterinary Clinic in Huntsville, Alabama! We’re looking for a professional and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team as our new hospital continues to experience rapid growth.
Due to this sustained rapid growth, we have multiple positions available. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in hospital settings with a strong understanding of medical procedures. We are willing and able to help foster the growth of a candidate with less experience but from all expect a passion for animal welfare, good time management skills, and great communication skills. At our core we believe that the best medicine is practiced when we partner with pet owners to help them truly understand their pet’s needs and as such have a focus on good communication and client education.
We firmly believe the best care is provided when each team member is utilized to the greatest extent in which they have been trained/licensed. Our goal is to foster both personal and professional growth through the pursuit of continuing education and growth within our organization.
Responsibilities may include:
- Monitoring patients during anesthesia and responding as required
- Hospitalized patient care
- Maintaining medical records by documenting conditions, reactions, and changes; updates database in an accurate and timely manner
- Medical procedures allowed to the extent of the state practice act.
- Communicate with pet owners both in wellness exams and in sick/surgery scenarios
- Participating in continuing education opportunities and reading professional journals
- Other duties as assigned by manager or practice owner
