Veterinary Technician

Overview

Looking for an energetic, upbeat, individual for a full-time position at a busy three doctor practice. Preferred Candidate must be self-motivating, hardworking, and possess strong communication skills. Must be able to work some nights and Saturdays. Benefits package available. Willing to train individuals that can retain information quickly and accurately.

Schedule:

8-10 hour shift/ 4 day work week and every other Saturday
Day shift
Evening shift( office closes at 7pm)
Rotating Saturday shifts 8am-11:30am weekends.

Ideal candidate :

Assist Doctors in exam rooms.
Provides compassionate patient care, keeping patients clean, dry, and comfortable.
Alerts the veterinarian(s) to changes in patients’ condition.
Provides safe and effective patient restraint.
Run Lab equipment.
Clean cages, and treatment areas.
Able to bend, kneel on the floor and get back up ;),stretch, and lift 50 pounds.
Able to multitask in a calm organized manner.
Arrive to work on time ready to assist where needed.
Serves as a representative of the hospital, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, patients, and other staff members.
Demonstrates initiative in everyday duties by seeking other work during down times, assisting other employees, and filling in for other employees as needed.
