Petco in Gainesville is hiring for an experienced groomer! I have full or part time available and plenty of dogs. You make an hourly base pay and take home all your tips plus 50% of your sales. We offer full benefits for fulltimers – medical, dental, vision, 401k. All partners receive free dog training, you can bring your dog to work for grooming days, 20% off vet services. We provide all shampoos, tools, and cover tool sharpening and clipper maintenance. All partners get paid time off, paid maternity/paternity/adoption leave, pet and family bereavement, free mental health counseling, and a 40% off in store or 10% online discount on products (including RX foods!)
Established groomers are potentially eligible for a $500 sign on bonus. We also just went public, so employee stock options are available. Cat groomers are also welcome, or we will train you!

We are truly a zero drama team and we all get along and we all help one another. I know many don’t like the idea of working for a chain; but the support and benefits are unparalleled. Dog bites? Refer it out. Your safety and the safety of the pet is paramount. We don’t groom dogs with a bite history, dogs with extreme matting, dogs on sedatives or dogs with major health concerns. We want you to be free to groom stress free. We don’t use base pricing, we charge our worth and charge accordingly. I don’t tolerate habitually late or no show guests, and i will back you up when needed.
I encourage you to do fun styles! Everything doesn’t have to be a shave down- we have lots of fun grooms and we teach our clients to line brush and comb and keep a schedule. We are all continually learning and trying new techniques.
A full-time role requires open availability, weekends, and holidays. We are closed thanksgiving and Christmas. You must possess great customer service skills as well as excellent time management skills and above all, you must love dogs! If you are part time, you can work at another salon, just not ‘smart.
