Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic, a dedicated small animal (canines and felines only) general practice located in St. Mary’s, Georgia, is seeking a passionate and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a single doctor practice, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate care using Fear Free techniques and emphasizing low-stress handling for our patients.
Responsibilities:
-Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and with procedures.
-Perform diagnostic tests including blood work, urinalysis, and digital radiography.
-Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
-Educate clients on pet care and preventive health measures.
-Maintain accurate medical records.
-Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
Qualifications:
-Must be a licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Georgia.
-Experience in a small animal clinic preferred.
-Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-Commitment to Fear Free techniques and low-stress handling.
