We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, High Speed Dentistry, In-House Diagnostics, CR full body and digital dental radiology, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding and more.

Our staff is made up of friendly, caring, well trained professionals.  Our receptionists will greet you personally and pleasantly, and our licensed veterinary technicians can educate you on topics such as bandage care and diabetic management.  The highly trained doctors at Oak View Animal Clinic are dedicated to providing the best medical and surgical care for your beloved pets.  Many of our staff members have been working with us for many years and as a team, we strive to make your experience at Oak View Animal Clinic as comfortable and comforting as possible.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with previous VA experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about patient care.

Responsibilities:

Restrain and triage patients, collect and analyze lab samples
Assist with diagnostics, surgery, and anesthetic monitoring
Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
Administer medications and communicate treatment plans with clients
Requirements:

Prior VA experience strongly preferred
Comfortable with animals, clinic sights, sounds, and odors
Ability to work safely around potential bites, scratches, or contagious diseases

Qualifications

We’re looking for:

Experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of hands-on experience preferred
Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, and able to multitask effectively with strong communication skills
Skilled in safely restraining pets
Proficient in sample collection, medical history intake, lab work, radiographs; anesthesia monitoring is a plus
Self-motivated with a desire to grow skills and advance professionally
