Overview
Lincolnshire Animal Hospital is a private practice that prides itself on employee engagement, a collaborative learning environment where everyone works diligently for our patients and their coworkers. We have a full-time position available for a certified veterinary technician who is a compassionate self-starter, who is experienced and willing to work in a setting that promotes respect and equality.
Responsibilities and qualifications desired:
- Collection and communication of vital statistics to the veterinarians
- Blood draws
- Subcutaneous fluid administration
- In-house lab and blood work diagnostics
- Surgical and anesthetic experience
- Knowledgeable with veterinary pharmaceuticals, preventatives and vaccines
- Certification (CVT, RVT, LVT)
Duties may also include assisting the veterinarians with their appointments:
- Follow up with client for admitting and discharge
- Assisting the doctor in the exam room
- Animal restraint
- Prepping and administering vaccinations
- Supporting assistants during treatment (aid with nail trims, anal glands, fluids, x-rays, etc.)
- Restocking
