Heartland Pet Hospital is a family-focused general practice that provides exceptional care to pets and their people. Our team – led by a devoted husband and wife duo – delivers high-quality medical and preventative care to companion animals in Bellevue, Nebraska, and surrounding communities. Every team member, from our receptionist to techs, provides professional and compassionate service to our new and longstanding clients. Heartland Pet Hospital has been a staple in the community for over twenty-five years and has long-standing relationships with customers and their children.
From preventative to emergency care, Heartland Pet Hospital is determined to get to a solution without taking shortcuts. Our practice offers physical exams along with vaccines for dogs and cats. Our extensive in-house lab services allow us to perform high-quality diagnostic testing with electrocardiogram and digital radiology technology. We provide surgeries including but not limited to dental cleanings, tumor and mass removal, spaying and neutering, orthopedic procedures, declawing, and more. Our team understands that pet health goes beyond physical performance, therefore we provide behavioral and nutritional counseling.
Heartland Pet Hospital is located in the center of Bellevue, an urban suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Named for its beautiful views, the town is known for being Nebraska’s oldest continual settlement since the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Enjoy these views from sunrise to sunset in the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center. The Willow Lakes Golf Course provides newcomers and veterans of the sport the opportunity to play on an 18-hole championship course. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
**This position would be a floater between both our locations, Bellevue and Papillion**
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

We’re looking for:
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
A minimum of 1-year experience preferred, CVT/RVT/LVT
Weekend availability
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs, positioning for dental radiographs are a plus
Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
