At GSiVS, our Licensed Veterinary Technicians work side-by-side with specialists and have access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools—basically, it’s like being the superhero sidekick but with scrubs instead of capes.
What your day could look like:
- Guiding patients smoothly through anesthesia and sedated procedures
- Setting up CRIs and showing off those medical‑math muscles
- Placing IV catheters like the pro you are
- Delivering compassionate, gold‑standard care to hospitalized pets
- Handling blood and plasma transfusions (vampire jokes welcome)
- Keeping spotless treatment sheets and detailed anesthesia records
- Collecting and preparing blood samples for diagnostics
- Educating clients so they feel confident caring for their pets at home
Who you are:
- A licensed LVT (required!)
- Skilled and confident in anesthetic monitoring
- Comfortable processing basic lab samples
- Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and normal vs. not-so-normal ranges
- A natural mentor who enjoys supporting veterinary assistants
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Someone who builds strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and community
- Positive, friendly, and organized (your clipboard game is unmatched)
- Excellent at communicating with both humans and animals
- Honest, eager to learn, and ready to have fun while making a difference
Schedule: based on current hospital needs
Salary: LVTs: $30/hr – $40/hr (overnights: additional $2.50/hr differential
