Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
To serve as a primary technical point of contact for an assigned project and to drive projects to completion
through a hands-on approach by reacting quickly to issues, providing on-site training, directly managing frontline workers, innovating solutions and liaising with company management to secure any resources that are
necessary to move a project forward.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Promote and adhere to the core values of the business.
▪ Coordinate project teams, develop a project plan and define the project timeline.
▪ Produce design and drawings in the specified timeframes.
▪ Work on customers and in-house designs and R&D projects.
▪ Make sure that drawings, Bills of Materials, and CAD/ CAM information are correctly cross-referenced
and comply with the relevant operating procedures.
▪ Create and maintain a Technical File for each project and design.
▪ Obtain appropriate tools and schedule the acquisition of materials.
▪ Research and compare company-approved vendors to ensure optimal technical advantage.
▪ Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards.
▪ Research new materials and methods of development.
▪ Ensure that machines are designed to permit easy servicing of components and parts.
▪ Accurately assess and reduce any risk associated with project’s completion.
▪ Work throughout the production process, adjusting the already created designs to meet manufacturers
and client satisfaction.
▪ Participate actively in the lifecycle of a project, providing support and advice and making necessary
corrections in specific areas of the project to ensure there are no lapses on the job.
▪ Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and
ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.
▪ Travel to customer site as required to support project installations.
▪ Modify systems upon customer’s request and document the amendments accordingly.
▪ Provide high quality pre-sales, design-in and post-sales technical support to customer.
▪ Schedule and conduct project meetings.
▪ Responsible for meeting project milestones and goals.

▪ Review the status of the project with work team and follow up with management on key decisions.
▪ Assemble the machines to an assembly work instruction and train other team members.
▪ Set up and manage the company spare parts systems to provide a 24/7 service to our customers
▪ Ability to work extended hours as business needs require.
▪ Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field or a combination of
relevant experience.
▪ 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design.
▪ Knowledge of the Microsoft Project and AutoCAD inventor application software.
▪ Good team management skills.
▪ Create a safe and efficient workshop environment.
▪ Extensive knowledge of production assembly processes.
▪ Understanding of current 5S and lean manufacturing technology and processes.
▪ Mechanical safety testing.
▪ Quality assurance techniques.
REQUIRED SKILLS
▪ Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills.
▪ Able to work independently or in team environment.
▪ Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company and customer goals.
▪ The ability to build and train a design and workshop assembly team.

▪ Exceptional troubleshooting ability.
▪ Must be able to follow instructions to the minutest detail to ensure accuracy.

▪ Have good communication skills to actively pass messages across to clients, manufacturers and
workers.
▪ Able to work well under pressure and exhibit a positive attitude at all times.
