Veterinary Assistant – Responsibilities Include:
Restraining animals safely and compassionately
Triage of incoming patients and assisting in exams
Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin)
Performing diagnostic imaging and radiographs
Providing nursing care to hospitalized or medical patients
Preparing for surgery, assisting during procedures, and managing anesthesia
Administering medications and treatments as directed
Effectively communicating treatment plans with clients
Veterinary Receptionist – Responsibilities Include:
Greeting clients and managing patient check-in and check-out
Answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments
Processing payments and maintaining accurate medical records
Handling prescription requests and coordinating with veterinary staff
Supporting clients with empathy, especially during emotionally challenging visits
Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
At least 1 year of customer service experience (veterinary preferred)
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
Professional, compassionate demeanor under pressure
Familiarity with veterinary software and procedures a plus
Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience required
Surgical assistance experience preferred
Strong work ethic and a positive team-focused attitude
Skilled in patient restraint, lab procedures, etc
