Overview

We are looking for new team members who have a passion for customer & patient care. This position is a critical support role in assisting caring for our patients and supporting our doctors and groomers in performing the daily tasks that occur in the veterinary hospital and pet spa.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Primarily performing duties in our reception area by answering phones, scheduling appointments, sending records, ordering, invoicing, & taking payments
  • Inventory purchasing and management for the hospital and pet spa
  • Checking in and occasionally assist caring for boarding, grooming, or hospitalized patients including, but not limited too: Feeding, watering, assisting administering medication, walking, & cleaning cages
  • Restocking and cleaning the hospital & pet spa

Qualifications and Skills:

Preference will be given to applicants with previous receptionist, animal, or medical experience. Applicants with a degree or certification in business/communications or an animal science degree are highly encouraged to apply. Basic skills required to complete the job are:

  • Exceptional phone & communication skills
  • Proficient computer literacy skills and working knowledge of veterinary software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing or sitting for multiple hours
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Required Education Level : None
