Overview
The Branch GM is a hybrid role combining hands-on grooming with branch-level leadership responsibilities. This position ensures exceptional pet care, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency while supporting and mentoring the grooming team. The Branch Supervisor serves as the on-site leader for their branch, reporting directly to the Owner and ensuring that company standards, procedures, and culture are upheld.
Pay
This position pays 40% commission on all appointments accomplished. All tips are for employees. Admin days and training days are paid at $200 per day. OR, the candidate may choose from a set salary plus performance bonuses. Administrative days are 8-hour days, unless otherwise stated. This leader is entitled to a branch specific bonus per quarter, should the branch meet assigned KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Grooming & Client Care (Approx. 80% of Role)
Perform professional grooming services according to company standards, including baths, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other services.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring pets are handled with care, and clients feel informed and satisfied.
Promote and upsell additional grooming services or add-ons.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the assigned grooming van.
Branch Leadership & Team Management (Approx. 20% of Role)
Ensure groomer schedules are followed, routes are efficient, and last-minute changes (including call-outs) are handled smoothly.
Onboard, train, and coach groomers to maintain high-quality grooming and customer service standards.
Act as the first point of contact for resolving customer concerns before escalation to the DOO.
Monitor branch KPIs (grooms/day, upsells, client satisfaction, on-time performance) and report results weekly.
Ensure adherence to grooming, pet safety, and van maintenance procedures.
Accomplish team weekly 1:1
Administrative & Operational Support
Monitor supply usage in coordination with the Owner and other branch leaders.
Document and report any pet, vehicle, or customer incidents.
Assist and lead with marketing and events throughout the year.
Lead weekly branch huddles to review updates, recognize performance, and address challenges.
Work Schedule
• 3 days per week: Grooming clients on assigned route.
• 2 day per week: Administrative/leadership duties (inventory, scheduling adjustments, training, meetings, reporting). Role can/will develop into more administrative days, pending branch performance
Minimum 3 years of professional dog grooming experience.
Strong leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage schedules, resolve conflicts, and motivate a team.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Commitment to safe, ethical, and compassionate pet handling.
