Seeking an experienced full time veterinary technician to join our existing team. We are a progressive 3 doctor small animal practice located in east Ft Lauderdale with an outstanding reputation in our community. We are a paperless, fully digital hospital that offers the highest quality medicine. Our services include digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, surgery, and reproduction services using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.
Our full time technicians work 4 days/week with a consistent day off. getting a thorough patient history from clients, pulling blood, placing IV catheters, Monitor hospitalized patients and surgery patients, prep for surgery, run IV fluids, trouble shoot IV pumps, perform digital x-rays, set up and read parasitology's, run blood work in house.
About Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale
We have been in business for over 30 years. We currently Have 2 full time doctors and work with 1-2 relief doctors at a time. We are typically (pre-pandemic) a 4 doctor practice. We are open Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm. As of now we are closed on the weekends. We do specialize in reproduction and have a semen bank on the premises. Our nurses are on a rotation schedule to be on call every 2-4 weekends (depending on staff). Our nurses are paid for their time to be on call weather they're called in or not. We work 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts with a 30 minute lunch break. We are family oriented and we understand and appreciate the need for a work-life balance. We are a teaching hospital and encourage all of our team members to educate themselves and we will provide guidance and assistance along the way.
