Animal Dermatology Group (ADG) is the largest veterinary dermatology business in the U.S., providing the highest quality of specialty care to pets with acute and chronic skin conditions.  ADG has over 20 primary practice locations and numerous satellite locations nationwide.  With over 60 doctors supporting the ADG medical team, they strive to lead in clinical practice, research and education in our field. In additional to providing advanced, dermatology specialized care to patients and supporting general practice veterinarians in our geographic service areas, ADG participates in drug/product development and clinical trials.  ADG also has the largest dermatology residency program approved by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology to support the training of the next generation of dermatologists.

Animal Dermatopathology Services (ADS), a veterinary dermatopathology division of ADG, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.  We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to work closely with the ADS board-certified veterinary dermatologists and board-certified veterinary pathologists to provide vital clinical dermatopathology results to referring veterinarians. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of veterinary or medical terminology, familiarity with clinical and laboratory work environments, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to complete a variety of time-sensitive tasks independently and a commitment to quality and excellence in service.

This position requires a mature individual who projects a professional, business-like appearance. Adaptable to a rapidly changing environment and able to work collaboratively and professionally with multiple departments. Works cooperatively with peers in shared work environment and receives constructive feedback well. Able to execute operating protocols consistently and with precision, as well as efficiently provide timely updates and recommendations on process improvements. Requires sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Primary Duties:
Manage requisitions and client/patient information
Work closely with our veterinary specialists to prepare histopathology reports
Coordinate client correspondences and invoicing
Order additional testing and stains for individual clients as needed
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining a system for archiving and retrieval of reports, specimen/slides and helping to support research study requests

Required Education Level : High School Diploma or Equivalent
