AARF is currently looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to assist in Rehab.

The CVT position will eventually lead to being a canine rehab practitioner as we will give you aid in becoming a CERTIFIED CANINE REHAB PRACTITIONER.

You will be responsible for assisting therapists during rehabilitation sessions, performing exercises, documenting patients’ progress, and opening/closing.

The main requirement is experience as a CERTIFIED VET TECH.

Since you will be working closely with therapists and doctors, we expect you to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as good communication skills. Ultimately, you should be able to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that benefit the canines and improve overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide services to canines suffering from various physical disabilities and illnesses.
  • Understand how various disabilities affect rehabilitation and be involved in designing a program of treatment accordingly.
  • Get canines to employ physical methods to aid recovery, including exercise (e.g. therapeutic exercise, underwater treadmill).
  • Keep records of canines’ treatment plans and progress., and ensure that all activities/treatments are within their specific capacity limits.
  • Help record initial assessments of incoming patients.
  • Schedule and execute organized rehabilitation programs.
  • Train canine owners in proper use of adaptive equipment.
  • Help plan training sessions according to the individual functional capacities of patients.

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate: Phillipsburg, NJ 08865: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience: Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)
