Position Overview
Client Facing Bookkeepers at Accrew are the guides to our clients, who are the hero of the story! Client Facing Bookkeepers are the “approachable experts” to our clients, being able to find and provide the right information and convey it in a way that makes it easy for the client to understand and respond.

As a Client Facing Bookkeepers, you will be assigned technical bookkeeping work in addition to client-facing responsibilities. When you are a client’s primary point of contact, you may or may not be the Bookkeeper responsible for the technical tasks. When you are not the Bookkeeper completing the technical work, the Client Facing Bookkeeper’s responsibility is to filter and send questions, requests, and information between the client and the Bookkeeper, relaying the information to the right people at the right time.

Ultimately, you should be able to maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients and team members, deliver high quality work, and complete all assigned tasks and projects with a high degree of self-management and personal responsibility.

Work Responsibilities

Client Facing Management

  • Filter and edit questions and requests between Clients and Bookkeepers, translating them into something the client can quickly understand and makes it easy for them to respond with what’s being requested
    • Critically assess what the most important questions are and ensuring they’re being sent in priority order and being followed up on regularly
    • Answer client questions with clear information that helps inform business leaders’ decisions
  • Reply to all internal and external communication within 24 hours of business days, ensuring consistent communication with the team and clients
  • Lead Onboarding Calls with new clients, guiding them through the process of setting up accounts and access

Bookkeeping

  • Record all monthly transactions and journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, contractor payments, etc. in line with their service agreement
  • Send monthly reports in line with their service agreement
  • Request W9s throughout the year and prepare for annual 1099 filing, as needed
  • Regular maintenance of client records, keeping client overview videos, client docs, passwords, and all other resources current to ensure the transferability of information
  • Finalize Year-End Bookkeeping and send annual financial statements for tax purposes

Special Projects (as assigned)

  • New Client catch-up and/or clean-up projects
  • Create and refine training & development resources
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Support in the creation of bookkeeping processes specific to clients’ needs and service level

Job Types: Full Time, Part Time

Salary: $18 – $28/hour

Supplemental Pay Types: Bonus Pay

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Education: High School or Equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Accounting: 1+ years (Required)
  • Bookkeeping: 3+ years (Required)
  • QuickBooks Online: 3+ years (Required)

License/Certification: QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification (Required) & Advanced Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: Remote in the U.S. Only

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-Must be motivated to learn & develop skills
-Prior experience with bookkeeping and client-facing management required
-Prior experience with account management / customer service preferred
-Ability to communicate positively and effectively with clients and team members
-Strong skills in presenting information in a clear, concise, and helpful way
-Strong sense of personal responsibility, proactively owning mistakes and learning from them
-Ability to self-manage, both time and responsibilities
