Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
As a Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and hospital team while helping ensure every patient receives exceptional care. Your responsibilities will include:
Assist with veterinary appointments, physical examinations, animal restraint, and patient handling
Triage patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinary team
Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized, surgical, recovering, and boarding patients
Prepare patients for procedures and assist with anesthesia monitoring and veterinary surgery
Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostic testing
Administer medications and document patient care, diets, appetite, behavior, and other observations
Feed, walk, bathe, medicate, and monitor boarding and hospitalized animals
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kennels, treatment areas, and patient spaces
Clean and sterilize veterinary surgical instruments and follow proper infection-control procedures
Restock supplies and assist with routine hospital cleaning and maintenance
Provide compassionate care and professional communication to clients about their pets
Qualifications
We’re looking for:
Veterinary Assistant or kennel technician experience is preferred, ideally with at least 1 year of experience, but we’re open to training the right person who has a strong interest in veterinary medicine and animal care.
A compassionate, calm, dependable team player who can multitask and communicate effectively in a busy veterinary hospital.
Comfortable safely and confidently handling and restraining pets, or willing to learn with hands-on training.
Experience with sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a bonus but not required.
A self-starter with a positive attitude and a desire to continue developing your veterinary knowledge and skills.
Someone who takes pride in providing compassionate, attentive care and treating every patient like their own.

Pay: $10.25-11.00 depending on experience
