Fres-co System USA is looking for a mechanically curious, dependable individual who wants to build a career as a Field Service Technician. We provide paid, hands-on training alongside experienced technicians and our Engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an associate degree, technical school education, vocational training, or a strong mechanical aptitude who wants to develop valuable skills in industrial automation, packaging equipment, electrical systems, pneumatics, and PLC programming.
As a Field Service Technician, you will travel throughout North America to customer locations, troubleshoot equipment, solve real-world technical problems, and develop your skills while working independently in the field.
What You’ll Do
Install and commission packaging equipment at customer locations
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical rebuilds
Learn to read electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic
Upload and download PLC programs to support machine performance
Work with Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems
Train customer personnel on equipment operation
Complete daily and weekly service reports
Partner with senior Field Service Technicians and Engineering to resolve equipment issues
What We’re Looking For
Mechanical curiosity and a strong interest in learning how equipment works
Associate degree, technical degree, trade school, or vocational background preferred
Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge is helpful, but not required
Ability to work independently and solve problems
Comfortable traveling frequently throughout North America
Ability to live within approximately one hour of a major airport
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a valid passport
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
