Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, taking initiative in clinical settings, mentoring peers, and contributing to a collaborative team culture. Responsibilities include pet restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of laboratory samples, diagnostic imaging, and the management and nursing care of both stable and critically ill hospitalized patients.

Proficiency in the administration of medications, clear and empathetic communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic monitoring and management is essential.

The role requires resilience in challenging environments — candidates must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises and may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

An experienced Lead Veterinary assistant or technician. RVT preferred.
Leadership experience-required
Minimum two-years’ experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
A strong leader with experience managing a team of veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians.
Experience in exam rooms, treatment/ICU area, surgery, dentals and their associated technical skills are a must.
Ability to create, monitor, and maintain detailed/accurate patient records.

Required Education Level : High School Diploma or Equivalent
