Overview
The assistant groomer supports the grooming team by preparing pets for grooming, maintaining cleanliness in the grooming area, and assisting with other daily tasks to ensure efficient and compassionate care. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with animals and eager to learn more about professional grooming in a veterinary hospital setting
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience Requirements
Prior experience working with animals is preferred, but not required.
On-the-job training provided.
Personal Requirements
Enjoys working with animals, including those who may be stressed or uncomfortable.
Able to work in environments with loud noise and strong odors.
Capable of lifting and carrying animals up to 40lbs (assistance provided for heavier pets).
Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Willingness to be exposed to animal-related risks
