Overview
Veterinary Dental Specialties – Tukwila is hiring an experienced part-time Veterinary Assistant to work Tuesdays and Fridays. Full-time is a possibility pending desired work schedule and/or availability. Candidates should have a passion for dentistry, anesthesia, and exceptional client and patient care. Come join our team of not only veterinary dentists, but also work alongside a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist.
This position earns a competitive wage of $27 to $30 per hour depending on experience.

Technical abilities and skills:
- The ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and to communicate to build relationships with colleagues and clients is required.
- The ability to deliver exceptional client and patient services.
- Knowledge of Fear Free techniques, and Fear Free certification is preferred. Access to certification will be provided if not already possessed.
- Knowledge of common medications, and filling medications.
- Dental radiography and cone-beam CT (VetCat IQ) experience. If not possessed, training will be provided.
- Instrument and equipment sterilization and maintenance.
- Experience with CubeX is advantageous.
- Help perform IV catheters, blood draws.
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery.
- Clean kennels and laundry.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Two or more years of experience in the veterinary field performing the above duties. (Required)
Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires a lot of lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion.
Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
