Overview
The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Mechanic/Shopkeeper (40 hours/week) in the Maintenance Department. The Library Mechanic/Shopkeeper duties include preventative maintenance, and minor repair of 12 vehicles ranging from small vans to box trucks. Vehicle lift and tire mount/balance equipment experience needed. Forklift driving experience preferred. Valid AR driver’s license, and good driving record required. Shopkeeper duties include keeping up with library shelving parts, spare ceiling tiles, carpet squares, paper dispensers, etc. Accept deliveries and unload pallets from vendors. Other duties include travel to branch libraries for shelving assembly and disassembly, pressure washing of sidewalks and buildings. Must be able to lift 75 lbs., push, pull, lift, and squat. Other duties as assigned. Pay starts at $16.11 and includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company pension, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Vehicle lift and tire mount/balance equipment experience needed.
Forklift driving experience preferred.
