Locksmith I

Overview

If so, the Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division (FMD) is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and ambitious individual with the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the work of a Locksmith I. In this position, you will be responsible for the locksmith services at all DGS State owned agency buildings within Downtown Sacramento.

As the Locksmith I, you will be responsible for:

· Maintenance of locks in State buildings

· Maintenance of security locks

· Maintain inventory of keys

· Completion of related documentation of work orders, tickets and project reports

· Install and repair exit panic devices, doorknobs and door strikes

· Installs and repairs locks

We are looking for candidates who have:

· 4+ years of commercial or residential building experience as a locksmith

· Ability to work independently and cooperatively with team members

· Possession and maintenance of a valid California Class C Driver’s License

· Locksmithing license or related certifications, preferred
