We are hiring Veterinary Technicians for our Pet Resort and Veterinary Clinic.
Pet Resort: Health4PETS® Liaison
The Health4PETS® Liaison is the main point of contact for clients regarding their pets’ health and wellness updates. They monitor boarders’ wellness, report status changes, dispense medications, and vaccinations to resort guests, and provide immediate medical attention if necessary.
Job duties:
- Identify specific physical conditions and follow prescribed actions for animal safety.
- Communicate with clients and staff professionally and sensitively.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and events.
- Facilitate daily communication among staff.
- Conduct work efficiently using checklists and organizational systems.
- Safely administer vaccinations and medications.
- Manage time effectively and adjust priorities as needed.
- Safely handle dogs according to guidelines.
- Utilize positive reinforcement dog training techniques.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed.
- Learn canine body language and behaviors.
- Anticipate and react to dog reactions effectively.
- Communicate promptly and appropriately with pet parents and team members.
- Follow color-coded system for dog handling permissions.
- Follow verbal instructions accurately.
Veterinary Clinic: Veterinary Technician
The Veterinary Technician is an essential member of the Pet Vet team. By providing skilled medical, technical, and administrative assistance to the doctor throughout all phases of services. The Veterinary Technician also plays a critical role in educating and communicating with pet parents
Job duties:
- Provide compassionate care to patients
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas
- Perform physical examinations and record observations on patients
- Assist in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, and monitor during surgery and recovery
- Give injections and oral medications following hospital policy
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, urinalysis, and fungal cultures
- Draw blood for lab analysis and maintain lab test results
- Take radiographs and administer EKGs and EEGs
- Admit and discharge patients as directed, ensuring grooming and medical condition
- Offer counseling to clients on animal care and medications, and provide follow-up calls
- Properly clean surgical materials, stock and prepare the operating room for surgery
- Understand and execute oral and written instructions
Job Hazards
- Exposure to dog and cat bites and scrapes.

- Frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
Computers Skills
- Must be able to learn and efficiently use Vetter, Gingr, Springboard, One Note, When I Work and Go Daddy Email.
Must be able to learn new technology in accordance with business needs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional Animal Care experience required.
- Passionate about animal welfare. Treats all animals with compassion and kindness.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly organized. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong computer experience. Learns new programs with ease.
- Comfortable interacting with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.
- Follow a rotating work schedule. (e.g. nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Reliable and dependable. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong work ethic. Set high standards for self and others.
Education
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) preferred but not required
- High School Diploma required.
