MOVES Mobile Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced certified Veterinary Technician to support our mobile veterinary Surgical Specialist in the Londonderry, NH area! As part of a mobile practice, you will commute to the specialist’s home and then travel to appointments in the general practice setting in a MOVES company vehicle.

Proficiency with surgical pack / prep procedures (i.e. cleaning instruments and wrapping surgical packs) (preferred)
Proficiency with surgical inventory (i.e. suture, surgical instruments, bandage material, etc.) and inventory management (preferred)
Proficiency with anesthetic protocols and confidence with anesthetic monitoring (preferred)
Proficiency with iOS (required)

Job Summary: MOVES provides a unique opportunity to combine customer service oriented responsibilities with the clinical aspect of specialty medicine in the comfort and convenience of our partner hospitals. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, exceptional time management skills, and demonstrate a strong initiative to work independently with little direct oversight. Partnering with your Specialist, this position will play an instrumental role in the success of this market, driving efficiency and maximizing productivity within your day-to-day work flow. In addition to supporting the clinical needs of your Specialist, you will participate in routine and frequent communication between HQ (located in Davidson, NC) and your partner hospitals. Inventory management will also be a key component of ensuring your team has the tools and resources necessary to provide services.

Trust-worthy independence and exercising good judgement will be crucial for success in this position. The right candidate will demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence with an emphasis on communication skills, social skills, and relationship management.

Schedule: A MOVES assistant / technician works when their Specialist works, and this position is approximately four ten hour workdays. General business hours will be Monday – Thursday 8AM to 6PM; some flexibility may be required. No on-call, nights, weekends, or holiday coverage is required and MOVES observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Vacation / Time Off: Assistants / Technicians receive the same time off taken by their Specialist, and are eligible for one week of additional paid time off per year. Therefore, our MOVES assistants / technicians average four weeks of paid (recreational) vacation per year. Additionally, paid sick time is also provided on an accrual basis; 1 hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. MOVES also provides two days of paid time off for Continuing Education.

Compensation: From $50,000 per year (Salaried; Non-Exempt – Meaning overtime eligibility remains)

* MOVES assistants / technicians also participate in a production-based bonus program with their Specialist, and are eligible to take advantage of our Employee Stock Option Program!
