The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institute (SCI) Camp Hill is looking for someone skilled with electronically controlled equipment and internal security to work as a Corrections Locksmith.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Locksmith for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all indoor and outdoor locking systems and devices in the institution. This includes all sliding doors, grills, and gates (including Sally Port and yard gates). This also includes all grills, gates and sliding doors with tracks, bearings, drive chains, electric motors, gear drives and bushings, in addition to the locking devices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
Work hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This is a paid lunch period.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in the locksmith trade; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement: You must pass a background investigation.
