Job duties include, but are not limited to:
This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership and of the urgent care team under the mentorship of the Practice Manager. In addition to Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties include, but are not limited to:
Development and implementing of basic protocol and standard procedure training.
Scheduling
Conducting team meetings.
Provide direction for efficient work flow.
Assisting in staffing and coverage where needed
Reviewing revenue reporting
Mentoring technicians and assistants within the department
Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.
Maintaining appropriate inventory.
Working with urgent care veterinarians to develop protocols to improve patient care.
Ensure accurate record keeping.
Occasional marketing.
Facility maintenance and safety.
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
Supervisory/leadership experience- preferred
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
Certified Veterinary Technician or eligible for certification- required
A minimum of 1-year experience – required
Weekend availability
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
