Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team! This role is ideal for a technician who not only excels clinically but is also ready to take on leadership responsibilities and grow into a broader management role. Under the guidance of the Practice Manager, you will assist in overseeing daily clinic operations, support team development, and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient and client care.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily clinic operations in partnership with the Practice Manager
Lead, train, and mentor the technical team to ensure high standards of care and efficiency
Support the implementation of hospital protocols, safety procedures, and quality control
Serve as a liaison between veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow
Coordinate staff scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance of medical equipment
Provide hands-on support in patient care, including anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical prep
Help maintain a positive, team-oriented culture focused on growth and professional development
Qualifications
We’re looking for:
Licensed/Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) strongly preferred but not necessary
Minimum 3–5 years of clinical veterinary experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong technical proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, and patient care
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Interest in continued learning and career development
Comfortable working under the supervision of a Practice Manager with an eagerness to grow into additional leadership responsibilities
